A Sensible, Responsible and Accountable Alternative to Welfare

The Deep Well Project is a privately funded, volunteer-based organization that streamlines vital social services for the Hilton Head Island community, bringing immediate assistance to Islanders in need. It is able to provide food, clothing and other social services to those in need and also respond in a timely manner.

While we often cooperate closely with either governmental and/or other social agencies, our mission enables us to quickly address Islanders’ problems by providing assistance when it is needed or before the situation escalates, becomes entangled in weeks of red tape or results in duplication of efforts.

Deep Well is a clearing house, truly a network that works. Contributions we receive are never dispensed as cash assistance. Instead, money entrusted to us is used to pay providers for essential goods and services that bring relief to those who need it.
