The Deep Well Project is a 501-C-3 charity, governed by a Board of Directors. All funding is private, and most donations are locally generated. Deep Well is a proud United Way Agency, and we also receive generous funding from The Bargain Box on Hilton Head. Our biggest fund-raising campaign of the year is sponsored by The Island Packet newspaper, who publishes stories of the people we help. Every day from Thanksgiving through Christmas day the paper solicits donations from the general public. The Celebrity Golf Foundation and the Heritage Foundation are also major donors to The Deep Well Project. Our local churches are also very supportive, many of them contributing large cash donations as well as collecting food for our pantry on a regular basis.

In October, 2004, Deep Well moved into a glorious new facility on Beach City Road. This 6250 square foot building was fully funded by our Hilton Head Rotary Club, who worked diligently to provide a permanent home for Deep Well. This building houses our offices as well as our food pantry and furniture storage, giving us the capabilities to keep up with the ever-growing needs of our community.
